The direct measurement of tyre pressure and temperature takes place via wheel modules which are located on each of the wheels and rotate with them.

There are two typical versions: the TPMS is installed either in the well base of the wheel rim via hose clip or screwed onto the valve from the inside.

Data is transmitted as a high-frequency radio signal.
